Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali city tour – Transfer to Volcanoes NP
Our company tour guide will pick you up from either the airport or from your hotel in Kigali. Depending on your pick up time, you will have a Kigali city tour where you will tour the genocide memorial sites, the national museum, the local markets, have lunch and drive to Volcanoes. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme (Mid-range), Muhabura Hotel (Basic).
Day 2: Gorilla trekking tracking in PNV
Have an early breakfast report to the Kinigi park headquarters as early as 7:00am. After a short briefing regarding your conduct during gorilla tracking, you will enter the rain forest in search of the mountain gorillas. It is advisable to carry along with you a packed lunch, energy bite, and mineral water on this expedition because sometimes tracking can last very long from 1 – 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once you meet the gorillas, the experience is so exhilarating and will be well worth the trouble. Spend a maximum of one hour with the gorillas then return to your lodge. Dinner and overnight
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Kivu in western Rwanda. You will check in at the Hotel upon arrival, have lunch and after you will go for a fishing relation on the beach along side the lake. Return for dinner and overnight stay at Kivu Sun Hotel
Day 4: Boat Ride and transfer back to Kigali for Departure
After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning boat ride on the lake. You will be able to see some water mammals and birds. After Lunch return to Kigali and prepare for your flight back home.
