4 Days Double Gorilla Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Pick Up – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Our company tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, or from the airport and drive off to Volcanoes national park. Depending on pick up time, for early pick up you will have a Kigali city tour where you will tour the genocide memorial sites, the national museum, the local markets later have lunch and drive to Volcanoes NP for dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guest House (Budget) / Hotel La Palme (Deluxe) / Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury).
Day 2: First Gorilla tracking & Cultural /nature walk
Wake up early today for breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing from one of the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas. Make sure to have packed lunch and water from your accommodation since the time taken searching for these Gentle giants ranges between 2-8hours depending on the movement of gorillas. Later have lunch and in the afternoon go for a community walk to visit neighboring families of the volcanoes national park. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 3: Second gorilla tracking
Today is the second day of gorilla tracking in the forest offering you another chance to enjoy gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Make sure to track another gorilla group so as to get a different gorilla experience. Relax in the evening at the lodge.
Day 4: Golden monkey tracking or Dian Fossey tombs tour
Have breakfast early, and head out for golden monkeys tracking in the bamboo forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and leave for Kigali, if you missed a city tour on the first day, then we do it here to Gisozi genocide memorial site, local art & craft shops, do last minute shopping before heading to the airport for your departure flight.
